On our actual anniversary we grilled out steaks and I baked a red velvet cake. Tuesdays aren't the most glamorous of days, but we enjoyed a yummy meal and a few episodes of A Chef's Life. By Friday we were ready for date night at Frankie's where we enjoyed go-carts, batting cages, and mini golf. Connor has been wanting to go there for months, so this was the perfect excuse to relive our high school days! For dinner we drove to Greer for a Food Truck Roll Out. We sampled some of our favorite trucks and listened to some bluegrass music out on the lawn. This was the first time we have attended a rally, and it was so much fun! What a great opportunity to sample a lot of different entrees and desserts.
We spent Saturday by the pool trying to soak in the last bit of Summer. It is so fun swimming and tanning and playing with the dogs at the house Connor grew up in. Making more of the same memories we've been making for almost eight years in that back yard. After dinner, we snuck candy into the movies and watched Atomic Blonde. Definitely an action flick, but something we both enjoyed. By Sunday it was back to church, where Connor and I have recently started to serve as greeters, and dinner with the whole family over at Honey's.
