My actual birthday was Tuesday, April 25th, and to celebrate we made steaks at home before going to the movies. We saw Born in China, a Disney documentary that was right up my alley. Bless my husband for sitting through it with me because I know he would have rather seen anything else!
On the Friday after my birthday some of my closest friends from college came to visit us in Fountain Inn. We had reservations at Cucina 100 before savoring some strawberry cake from Cakes to Dye For back at our place. An evening full of laughs and without a lull in conversation; I'm so glad we can still get together even though our lives have scattered us all about.
After an early morning trip to the Fountain Inn Farmers Market, Con took me to Swamp Rabbit Cafe & Grocery for lunch. We wanted to support Megan & Kayla's jewelry business, Rust & Stardust, who had a table at the Swamp Rabbit Spring Flea. We enjoyed perusing the booths before heading to Greer to support another friend, Melissa, who owns Inn the Attic, at the Vintage Market at the Park. We had such a great time searching for treasures from another time. I walked away with several prizes!
After a busy few days, we relished in resting at my parent's house on Sunday afternoon. They surprised me by fixing up an old bike in their garage for me to ride to my church meetings and the farmers market. How thoughtful is that?
