My family has always cut down a live tree but this was Connor's first trip to a Christmas tree farm. We had a blast picking out our perfect tree and toting it across the farm. We bought it at the Merry Christmas Tree Farm in Central, SC which was started by a Clemson professor many years ago. They had a large selection of native trees and also a handful of fir trees they import from North Carolina. Connor and I decided on an 8 foot Leyland Cypress, and spent the rest of the afternoon stringing lights and hanging ornaments.
Holiday festivities are in full swing at the McCraw house! I'll be posting soon about our first married Christmas and our participation in Fountain Inn town traditions.
