Our TV stand is a family antique, but the rest of our furniture was picked up by Connor and I. We found our Bassett sofa at Furniture from High Point in Anderson, SC which is filled with close out and display furniture and accessories. We love this couch and got a great deal on it by paying cash. Everything else was ordered online, and I've linked some similar products since I tend to buy clearance items that are no longer available. In the opposite corner is our office area where I pay bills and blog. I found this great Thomasville desk at Robin's Nest in Clemson, and the chair and lamp are from Pottery Barn Outlet in Gaffney. By the door, I repurposed my childhood nightstand into a foyer catch-all, and added a shoe rack to combat tripping over sandals and work boots all over the living room. The first room you see when you enter our home is the formal living room. This room is open to the dining room and adjacent to our master bedroom. This space is very large and has three windows that let in an abundance of natural light. We love the original fireplace and hardwood floors, but the rest of the room wasn't really our taste. We spend most of our time in here watching TV, playing with Jasper & Elliot, and entertaining friends. When we are home the front door is open and the sun is streaming in through the glass door. I think we accomplished our goal of a bright and friendly room to introduce guests to our home.
