We're off to celebrate with family and eat way more than we should. Be sure to get tucked into bed early because Santa Claus comes tonight!
Happy Christmas Eve! The gifts are all wrapped, mistletoe hung, and cookies sent out to our neighbors. Tomorrow is the big day and I'm trying to soak in all the magic in the air. Even though we're not having any company over, I still wanted to dress up the dining room for the holidays. Once again, all of the decor was bought on clearance last year or in the dollar section at Target. I tried to keep it festive without being overly Christmas so we can leave the table set until Spring. We take down our tree and outdoor lights on the 26th, but everything else will stay for a while longer. I'm sure by now you've noticed how much I love plants. The ivys and ferns on the table were repurposed from the sunroom, and that little avacado tree was given to me by my sorority little sister. I made the magnolia wreath using foam and leaves from our yard, but I'll be honest I haven't been too impressed with it. It looked so beautiful for the first few days, but by the second week it looks pretty pitiful. I think I'll try again with faux leaves for next year.
