We started the year in the woods, celebrated our 7th Valentine's Day at Rick Erwin's Eastside, and made two trips to Wolf Ridge Ski Resort. In April I turned 23 and celebrated at a Drive baseball game with my best friends. We witnessed these same friends get married in May, and went to two more weddings in September and October. We were in Kiawah on the first day of summer, soaking in the sun and quality time spent with Connor's family. On July 4th we were on Lake Keowee before a cookout by the pool.
The summer was also a season of transformation for our blue bungalow. We replaced the roof, painted the exterior, and built new cedar columns for the porch. By the big reveal, we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary. To celebrate properly we spent a weekend in Charlotte seeing the Dixie Chicks and eating in the best restaurants.
We finally committed to Capstone Church by becoming partners, and entrusted of finances to the Lord by beginning to tithe. Connor left his first post-grad job to start a new company with his Dad and another partner. With this transition I was able to quit my job at Petco to stay at home. Now I am able to garden more and promote my small business, Sprouts with Clout, as well as finish updating the interior of our home. The only room we lack is the kitchen!
We day tripped to Blue Ridge when Connor turned 24, and celebrated another Clemson win at Homecoming. We hosted our first annual Friendsgiving dinner and spent an extended weekend in Helen for Christmas.
Connor has had four-day weekends for the last two weeks and I have loved spending so much free time with him. We've been sleeping in late, organizing every inch of our house, and watching a whole lot of football.
