On Friday, we drove to Greenbrier Farms in Easley, SC to meet the rest of the bridal party for the wedding rehearsal. Both Davis and Katie's parents were so welcoming to us and introduced us to the rest of their families. After the rehearsal, we all drove to Lake Keowee for a sweet dinner at a house the groom's family rented for the weekend. We had sushi and entrees catered by Tsunami before indulging in a yummy cake that was decorated like Clemson House. Since we were a couple hours from home, Davis' parents were gracious enough to let us stay the night in the lake house with them and the other out of town guests! We had a late night of laughing and reminiscing about our Clemson days, then woke up early on Saturday to gorgeous views and Bojangles biscuits. This was the first wedding we have traveled for, and it was so much fun to get away for the night and see all of our friends!
Last month we spent the weekend with our friends who tied the knot! Davis and Katie have been our friends since college, when Connor and Davis were fraternity brothers. Davis was a groomsman in our wedding almost three years ago, and when we visited them in Boston last fall, they asked Connor if he would like to be in their wedding too! This was the first wedding we have traveled for, and it was so much fun to get away for the night and see all of our friends! We traveled back to Greenbrier early Saturday morning. The boys gathered in a back room to help each other tie their bow ties and put on their suspenders. I enjoyed hanging out with them and walked around the venue taking photos. As the guests arrived, we saw a lot of familiar faces and exchanged a lot of hugs. The outdoor ceremony began at 11:30am and we were in the barn eating lunch within the hour. We shared a delicious southern meal, a buffet of cakes, and dancing all around. What a festive weekend!
